Abdominal Fat in Men

When men gain weight, the default storage space for fat is the belly. If men eat too much and do not exercise, then the available belly space also runs out and the body begins to store fat somewhere else which turns out to be extremely unhealthy. This belly fat can lead to type 2 diabetes, high cholesterol, heart disease and extremely high blood pressure. Women on the other hand store most of their extra fat in the hip and thigh region. Thus men with high abdominal fat should think of ways to minimise it. In order to reduce this abdominal fat, you have to maintain men’s fitness such as

Do strength training – Strength training is one of those work outs which helps in preventing muscle loss but aids in fat loss. Squats and Dead lifts particularly provide work to all the muscles of the body from head to toe. This will help in building muscle fast which in turn reduces the size of the waist.

You should stop eating processed or junk food entirely in order to reduce abdominal fat. Even if you exercise really hard, you will not be able to reduce your belly fat if one eats more junk food. In order to reduce belly fast at a faster rate, you have to consume more proteins in the forms of fish, poultry, meat, eggs, cottage cheese etc. You have to eat more vegetables and fruits such as cabbage, spinach, broccoli, kale, orange, apple, pears, pineapple etc. You have to consume more healthy fats which are found in oils like fish oil, olive oil and many others. Also helpful are the healthy carbohydrates like oats, brown rice, quinoa etc.

If you consume alcohol such as beer on a daily basis, you should forget about losing belly fat. Alcohol produces stress on the liver which in turn results in increase of body fat. For best results, limit your consumption of alcohol. Instead you can indulge yourself in drinking water, lemon juice, green tea etc. Taking these measures can help in reducing abdominal fat. You have to limit your intake of carbs. Everybody needs carbohydrates in order to get energy. But most of the times we eat more carbs than is actually required. This will store fat deposits in the belly causing an increase in abdominal fat. You have to eat more carbohydrate only if your body structure is skinny.

Stock up on more protein. Body needs more energy to process proteins rather than carbs or fat. This is why protein rich diets are great at burning belly fat. Men should take care not to put on weight over the abdominal region by following the above mentioned steps.
